Canadian Red Cross Instructor Course
Delta First Safety is proud to partner with Big Hearts First Aid, a Canadian Red Cross Instructor Development Centre (IDC), to offer the Red Cross Instructor Course. This course equips candidates with the skills and knowledge to effectively teach Red Cross First Aid/CPR courses. By exploring educational learning theory and teaching principles, participants gain a solid foundation in instruction techniques.

Course Details
Pre-requisites:
- Completion of Standard First Aid/CPR Level C with an approved Red Cross provider before registering for the Instructor Course.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A current Standard First Aid certificate (valid within one year of the Skills Development Session). If your certificate is not current, you must take the Standard First Aid/CPR Level C recertification course.
Course Process:
STEP 1
Pre-requisites and Skill Evaluation Session (7 – 8 Hours)
STEP 2 & 3
Online and In-class Sessions (34 Hours or 4 days)
STEP 4
Teaching Experience
Upon successfully completing the online and in-class sessions, you will schedule your Teaching Experience. You will meet twice with the Teaching Experience Supervisor to review lesson plans and other teaching-related details.
STEP 5
Certification
Please note: Big Hearts First Aid reserves the right to reschedule this course if enrollment is less than 4 participants.
