Advanced First Aid Course
Delta First Safety offers the Advanced First Aid Course(OFA 3 Equivalent) , which builds on the foundational knowledge from the Emergency Care for Professional Responders text. Participants will learn how to conduct appropriate patient assessments, perform interventions, and provide ongoing care in a workplace setting. The course also covers various options for transporting an injured worker from the workplace to a healthcare facility. This course meets the CSA Standard Z1210-17 for First Aid Training in the Workplace, This course is accepted by worksafebc.
Audience
Individuals designated as Advanced Workplace First Aid Attendants.
In some jurisdictions, this course is also approved for pre-hospital medical first responders.
Duration(Mon-Fri)
Full-time: 80 hours (10 days).
Part-time: 80 hours (20 days).
Prerequisites
Certification in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C.
Completion Requirements
Successfully demonstrate the required skills.
Achieve a minimum of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation.
Successfully complete at least one practical scenario.
Attend and participate in 100% of the course.
Certification
3-year certification in Advanced First Aid (digital certificate issued upon successful completion).
Recertification
40 hours.(5 days)
