Delta First Safety offers the Advanced First Aid Course(OFA 3 Equivalent) , which builds on the foundational knowledge from the Emergency Care for Professional Responders text. Participants will learn how to conduct appropriate patient assessments, perform interventions, and provide ongoing care in a workplace setting. The course also covers various options for transporting an injured worker from the workplace to a healthcare facility. This course meets the CSA Standard Z1210-17 for First Aid Training in the Workplace, This course is accepted by worksafebc.

Audience

  • Individuals designated as Advanced Workplace First Aid Attendants.
  • In some jurisdictions, this course is also approved for pre-hospital medical first responders.

Duration(Mon-Fri)

  • Full-time: 80 hours (10 days).
  • Part-time: 80 hours (20 days).

Prerequisites

  • Certification in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C.

Completion Requirements

  • Successfully demonstrate the required skills.
  • Achieve a minimum of 75% on a written, closed-book knowledge evaluation.
  • Successfully complete at least one practical scenario.
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course.

Certification

  • 3-year certification in Advanced First Aid (digital certificate issued upon successful completion).

Recertification

  • 40 hours.(5 days)
